What is DPC?
Direct Primary Care is a membership-based medical practice that allows physicians to partner directly with their patients on their primary care needs and personal wellness goals. With a low monthly fee, you gain access to your provider when you need it most. The small patient panel size and eliminating the administrative burden of traditional insurance-based billing systems enable physicians to offer longer office visits, secure virtual appointments, and text and email access when care is needed. Direct Primary Care (DPC) is not insurance, but a monthly service fee provides you with wellness and primary care services offered by your physician. You will still need insurance for services outside your physician’s scope of practice, specialty care, emergency room visits, hospitalizations, surgery, and imaging services. DPC is not a replacement for health insurance but can be a cost-effective companion for patients with a high-deductible or catastrophic health insurance plan. No co-pays at the office visit or bills are submitted to your insurance company. DPC does not take insurance or Medicare. Your monthly membership gives you affordable medical care and restores the patient-physician relationship without the intrusion of insurance companies.
